On Oct. 13, the Saratoga Central Catholic High School volleyball program will sponsor its annual Saints Spike Out Cancer match and fundraiser -- this year, honoring Spa Catholic family, friends and alumni who have survived breast cancer. The varsity match starts at 4 p.m.; survivors and those lost to cancer will be honored at about 5:30, between the JV and varsity matches....

St. Henry's parish in Averill Park had its fall festival, with "harvest foods," crafts, vendors, an auction, kids' activities and a major raffle....

Annunciation parish in Ilion had a rummage sale and coat giveaway one weekend in September....

Parishioners of St. Mary's Church in Waterford staffed a food booth at the town's Tugboat Roundup....

The Rosary Society at St. Stanislaus parish in Amsterdam is sponsoring a city-wide Rosary rally Oct. 15, 2 p.m., with speaker DEACON GARY RIGGI, exposition, the Rosary and benediction....

There will be a Rosary rally and procession for the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Mary in Fatima Oct. 14, 11:30 a.m., at Main Street Park in Hudson Falls. Call (518) 747-3052 for details....

On Oct. 14 at noon, there will be a Rosary rally at St. Michael's parish in Cohoes to mark the 100th anniversary of the Fatima apparitions. JOANNE O'HARA of the Blue Army will be the featured speaker and will bring a Pilgrim Virgin statue of Our Lady of Fatima to be carried in a procession....

St. Paul the Apostle parish in Hancock celebrated the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a "Mary's birthday party," including the Rosary and then cake and ice cream.

St. Paul the Apostle parish in Hancock welcomes DEACON CARLO SQUICCIARNI of the diocese of Trenton, N.J., who sometimes stays in the area and will now serve the parish, as well.

St. Stephen's in Hagaman had a potluck lunch, followed by a free mini-retreat titled, "A Walk to the Potter's House"....

Our Lady of the Assumption parish in Latham finished its summertime Monday-night barbecue and kickball/bocce gatherings. On the next-to-last evening, the "Blessed Mother Blues" bocce team bested the "Sacred Heart Reds"....

St. Thomas the Apostle parish in Cherry Valley has been accepting donations in memory of former sacramental minister REV. JOHN ROOS, who passed away in January. Parishioners are donating toward a new sound system, a grotto dedicated to Mary, closet fixtures and more in the priest's honor; see https://frroosmemorial.wordpress.com.

St. Thomas installed a double sink in the church sacristy with one sink for hand-washing and another, called a sacrarium, that drains directly into the ground for rinsing sacred vessels....

St. Francis of Assisi parish in Albany bid farewell to staffer AMY BROZIO-ANDREWS, who is the new archivist for the Diocese of Albany....

Immaculate Conception par­ish in Glenville congratulates DR. ERICA ARCHER, a parishioner and new addition to Kennedy Ophthalmology Associates who will be married at the parish in October.

The parish is planning its annual morning of service Nov. 4, with a list of projects at www.icglenville.com/2017-Morning-of-Service. Parishioners will volunteer for Ronald McDonald House, the Northeast Parent and Child Association, Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child, Albany Medical Center's NICU, the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Jack's Place, the City Mission Meal Center, Heritage Home for Women, the Glendale Home, Baptist Nursing and Rehab, the Regional Food Bank, MiSci, the Joan Nicole Prince Home, the YWCA, Schenectady Day Nursery, Shelters of Saratoga and the Town of Glenville. Immaculate Conception plans a concert Oct. 15, 3 p.m.: "Singing to the Seasons of Love and Grace : 95 Years Strong"....

St. Mary's parish in Crescent wished a happy 50th anniversary to JOE AND JACKIE MARTIN....

The Christian Women's Society at St. Joseph's/St. Michael's/Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in Amsterdam is sponsoring the parish's annual mum sale; order forms are at the church.

A fall Bible study at St. Joseph's/St. Michael's/Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Amsterdam is held Thursdays, 2-4 p.m. or 6:30-9 p.m., on "Saints of the Catholic Reformation." It will be followed by a series on "Peter, Cornerstone of Catholicism"....

St. Clement's parish in Saratoga Springs thanked donors to its Backstretch Families Bagged Lunch program. For six years, volunteers from St. Clement's have assembled and delivered 250 lunches on Tuesdays to the busload of family members coming to Saratoga to visit backstretch workers, and to workers going down to Belmont to visit family. St. Clement's Outreach provides many of the items, purchased through the Regional Food Bank Co-Op; Panera donates bread and cookies; Hannaford donates apples, bags, napkins and condiments; Market 32 Florist supplies delivery boxes....

REV. MICHAEL FLANNERY is now celebrating Latin Masses on a regular basis at Sacred Heart parish in Albany: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 a.m.; Saturdays, 8 a.m.; Sundays, 11:00 a.m. (12:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month)....

DONALD CUNNINGHAM coordinated the July 15th annual DAVID CUNNINGHAM memorial golf tournament, which raised $800 for the food pantry at St. Joseph's parish in Troy....

KERRY LAWSON and JULIANA BODENSIECK re-covered kneelers at Notre Dame-Visitation parish in Schuylerville, which had been held together with duct tape and masking tape.

Notre Dame-Visitation parish in Schuylerville thanked JIM JENNINGS SR., JACK JENNINGS and JOE AND LEON DERBY and their families for replacing the handicapped ramp at the front of the church....

St. Joseph's parish in Schenectady had its Oktoberfest in September, with German foods, music, a bake sale and a special Mass in honor of St. Joseph....

St. Joseph's parish in Greenwich declared the Greenwich interfaith golf tournament a success, raising more than $13,000 to keep a bus operational, the youth ministry active, emergency assistance available and more.

Parishioners of St. Joseph's were invited to join the congregation of Bottskill Baptist Church at their 250th anniversary service in September....
