Founded in 1920 as the Catholic Children's Vacation Villa on New Scotland Avenue in Albany, Camp Scully relocated to a site on Crooked Lake in 1927 and remained there for seven years.

The Villa moved to its present site on Snyder's Lake in North Greenbush in 1934; the Villa was rededicated in 1944 in honor of its founder, Rev. Joseph Scully.

Camp Scully, currently under the auspices of Catholic Charities of Albany and Rensselaer Counties, provides summertime recreation for boys and girls ages 7 to 14.

Located on 22 acres, the camp includes 10 cabins, chapel, infirmary, dining hall, picnic and activities pavilion, playing fields and waterfront. (PQ)
