St. Joseph's parish in Greenwich now has Lough Derg holy water fonts cast by hand at Kinsale County Cork in Ireland. Lough Derg is a site of pilgrimage since medieval times and is associated with many Irish saints, including Patrick and Brigid, whose cross from an ancient carved stone on the island is incised on the font. The fonts are dedicated in memory of the BROCK AND WILLETTE FAMILIES and were donated by MARY ROSE AND PAUL WILLETTE....

If you notice someone you haven't seen before, ask them their name and tell them yours. During the sign of peace, look for someone you don't recognize and welcome them. Say goodbye to the newcomer you met before Mass and tell them you hope to see them again. Remember that a smile and a nod to those who sit near you means a lot. Sit in a different seat occasionally so you can meet new people. Compliment a family on how their children behaved during Mass. Tell them St. Michael's loves children. Albany's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception said farewell to former rector REV. WILLIAM PAPE, who served for 24 years, and welcomed new parish secretary PILAR DELL, who replaces interim secretary LUCY MCHENRY. Also, the cathedral has updated its email address for the secretary to CICAlban@rcda.org.

Cathedral facilities manager KURT SCHLACHTER facilitated the removal of five stained-glass windows from a sacristy for restoration. A monthly second collection is helping with projects like this, as is the annual Cathedral Classic golf outing, which will be held June 25. The restoration of the windows is estimated at $22,000....
