Confirmation candidates at All Saints on the Hudson parish in Mechanicville/Stillwater are sharing essays on their chosen saint's name in the bulletin. CHARLI GOVERSKI wrote: "Making my confirmation is very important to me because I will be developing a deeper relationship with God. For my saint's name, I chose Grace. St. Grace is the patron saint of Spain. She was born Muslim, but converted to Christianity due to her brother, St. Bernard, and her sister, St. Maria. I chose this name because of the meaning of grace: a favor, a free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to His call to become children of God. To carry the word 'grace' as part of my name is an honor and it will always make me reflect on my faith."
